What are Lab Grown Diamonds?+
A lab grown diamond is a man-made diamond grown in a controlled laboratory environment using HPHT or CVD technology. They are 100% real diamonds – same chemical composition (crystallised carbon), same physical properties, and optically identical to mined diamonds. Certified by GIA and IGI.
How much cheaper are Lab Diamonds vs. Mined Diamonds?+
Lab grown diamonds are up to 95% cheaper than mined diamonds of the same quality. Fancy color lab diamonds (yellow, blue, pink) offer even greater savings compared to their natural equivalents.
Are Lab Diamonds real diamonds?+
Yes. Lab grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds. The US FTC confirmed in 2018: 'A diamond is a diamond regardless of its origin.' They carry official certificates from IGI, GIA, and GCAL.
Can you tell the difference between Lab and Mined Diamonds?+
No. Even experts using traditional gemological instruments and diamond detectors cannot distinguish them. Even certified gemological institutions use highly specialized, expensive equipment to identify them, and even then it is extremely difficult.
What is the difference between CVD and HPHT lab diamonds?+
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) grows diamonds layer by layer and produces color-stable stones. HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) simulates natural conditions deep underground and often produces higher clarity and richer fancy colors.
